The Iraq Campaign Medal (ICM) was a military award given to members of the United States military who served in Iraq or its territorial waters in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. The medal was awarded retroactively from March 19, 2003 until December 31, 2011, the end of Operation New Dawn. The Departement of Defense terminated the award of the ICM on April 23, 2012.
