Manual First Aid for Soldiers

The US Army FM 21-11 First Aid Manual is a comprehensive guide designed to provide nonmedical personnel with the necessary skills to administer first aid in emergency situations. It covers the four basic lifesaving measures: open the airway and restore breathing and heartbeat, stop the bleeding, prevent shock, and dress and bandage the wound to avoid infection. The manual also includes special first aid measures and modifications of the basic lifesaving measures, applicable to both nuclear and nonnuclear warfare. It emphasizes the importance of prompt and effective first aid and is directed to all soldiers, regardless of gender or military branch. The manual is a valuable resource for soldiers, civilians, and anyone in need of first aid training.
